Being from Louisiana, I learned early about food and boats. Following college, I cooked aboard freight and passenger ships for more than twenty years. I retired as a Chief Steward (even tho' I'm endorsed as an Able Seaman - Unlimited) and I'm living in Tennessee near my half-brother, a historian.
